MENTAL HEALTH
Jesus cares about your mental health, and we do too.
As we preach and talk about serious life subjects, we might uncover some wounds and struggles. This is good! We don’t want to be Christians who pretend everything is alright, but Christians who attend to what’s going on in our minds because Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37).
Below, we've posted some resources to help with your journey.
RESOURCES
Prayer
Sometimes it helps to talk about it with God and with faithful Christians who will pray for you. You can get started here or you can visit our prayer page for more information about prayer at New Spirit.
Bible
The Scriptures reveal that God cares a lot about our mental health. You can see this in the Psalms.

7 Things The Bible Says About Anxiety
Groups
You are not meant to do this alone! New Spirit groups are here to care for you (1 Cor 12:25), encourage you (Heb 3:13), and help bear your burdens (Gal 6:2).
Counseling
We're big fans of many forms of counseling. All things being equal, we recommend choosing a counselor who is Christian, but we recognize there are secular counselors who do incredible therapy. We also recognize that it's difficult to find a counselor these days, so we've compiled some great advice from a professional counselor about how to find a counselor and get into therapy as quick as possible.
